Obama's Complete Victory Speech: Obama Wins the 2012 Election
If this does not put tears in your eyes, than you are eminently more stoic than I could ever imagine. This is a good man, who is as courageous as any President to have ever served in the Office of the Presidency. The honest truth of this ca
mpaign, was that Obama felt an enormous sense of ambivalence going into the campaign, as his family was being threatened, and the madness of the haters putting him or one of his family in the way of a bullet had caused him to reflect, even once for the record, about loosing.
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Washington exclusive Sidwell Friends School, where President Barack Obama's daughters are students, was briefly evacuated on Thursday after a suspicious telephone call, the school said.
The private Quaker school evacuated buildings on its Wisconsin Avenue campus in northwest Washington after the call, it said. Obama's daughters Sasha, 11, and Malia, 14, are Sidwell students.
"After an investigation by law enforcement, it was determined that no risk was present. Students and employees have now returned to class," the school said in a statement on its website
You will note in the whole course of the campaign, how rare were the appearances of his daughters. Approaching the first debate, Obama had been somewhat recalcitrant in the face of his managers urging him to study and rehearse. He slow played that advice, did not put in the time, and the result was obvious in the first debate with Romney. Following that debate, the Obama campaign managers confronted the President, following his own review of the debate, where he was impacted deeply by the substandard performance. At that meeting they pointedly confronted Obama, questioning the concerns that had tempered his wllingnes to win this election, and requesting the re-calibration of the components of the Presidents desire for re-election. It was only after he was so disappointed in the train wreck of Debate#1 that Obama decided he would damn the torpedoes and commit everything to pursuit of a second term. John Kerry was brought in to act as a surrogate for Romney, and they worked in proper fashion, and the subsequent two debates reflected a different candidate in the President's performance. I am thrilled and relieved on so many levels, that American people would not allow themselves to be subdivided and conquered. When this President completes his second term, there will be revelations of how relentless is the pressure on those responsible for protecting the President. With this reelection, the anger and sick fringe extremism is more excised and disturbed. This President puts his life on the line like no other occupant of this Office has ever done, in the entire course of our History.
